Dahna M. Chandler
Award-Winning Journalist | Arts Storyteller | Black Art Narrative Guardian
In a time when Black art history is being strategically erased from the American story, I founded ChandArts Media to protect and elevate the legacies that power tried to forget. As an award-winning journalist and artist representative, I combine exceptional storytelling experience and a substantial understanding of the Black art world to conduct deep, narrative-driven storytelling.
My mission is to preserve the truth about the Black artists who shaped this nation’s cultural, political, and spiritual life—including my father, Dana C. Chandler, Jr., whose exclusive artist representative I am.
Through long-form features, archival essays, and curated editorial work, I serve as a narrative protector—making sure our stories are documented, respected, and never silenced.
My blog is an evolving archive—a place where I publish the stories, profiles, and ideas shaping the cultural legacy of Black visual artists. Until my published features, essays or content appear in national outlets or on respected institutional sites, these pieces offer an unambiguous understanding of the work I do: narrative preservation, editorial inquiry, and truth-telling through art. They provide prospective clients with confidence in how I think and write.
